Could You Write for Bizzia?

Normally, I don’t post job ads here…there just aren’t enough hours in the day and other people do it better. That said, I did want to share with you a call for applicants that will be worth your while, should you be qualified. The job is writing right here, for Bizzia.com!
No, they aren’t looking for another person to cover freelancing…I’m not going anywhere! What they need is a blogger for their Corporate Finance category starting July 1. If you’re interested, you can email my manager, Kori, directly at kori.ellis@b5media.com with resume and/or samples. Make sure to mention that you’re a …read more

10 Unusual Places to Find Freelance Work

We all have our favorite job boards to troll, and I’m guessing that more than a few of you are well acquainted with bidding sites like Elance. Sometimes, though, these sites don’t give you crap. I remember going through a two-month period back when I was about 5 months into freelancing full time when I couldn’t find much of anything as far as freelancing work. Since then, I’m happy to say that I have enough long-term clients to keep me busy (sometimes …read more

Where do you find such work? Here are just a few sources:

• Problogger Job Board
• All Freelance Writing
• Freelance Writing Jobs
• Journalism Jobs – You have to register here, but it’s free.
• Indeed.com
• Blogger Jobs.biz
Note that some networks pay a set fee for each posting or article; others offer a percentage of the ad revenue generated by …read more

One Good Job Deserves Another: Landing Gigs

I’ve been congratulated by a number of people on landing this gig – writing for the freelance category here at Bizzia. And it is a great gig – but landing it wasn’t a fluke or lucky or even about being the best person for the job. I’m not saying that you can’t get great freelance jobs those ways, but if you’re a writer, the best way to get hired for awesome long-term contract positions is to do an awesome job at the writing gigs you have today.
Let me tell you the story of how I got this position. Don’t worry …read more

Freelance Writing Jobs – 48 New Writing, Blogging, Editing and Translation Jobs

We start the work with 48 New Writing, Blogging, Editing and Translation Jobs.
There have been a rash of jobs, well maybe a dozen over several months, that ask for women writers only, or female writers only. I always look at these ads with suspicion. A few seem to have what in my opinion is a legitimate to hire one sex or the other exclusively; some seem like scams, or even possible set-ups for stalking. Those I don’t publish. But you can’t count on me to keep you safe or to determine for you if a job posting is authentic or …read more
