Should I Write For Those Term Paper Mills? Ask Anne, The Pro Writer

Hi Anne,
Is it my imagination or do you NOT publish ads from those outfits that sell term papers to students? I’ve noticed several of them on the boards I check, but not on yours.
How come?
BG
Hi BG,
Great eye! Or are you checking up on me?
Seriously, I think the term paper mills are just one more example of unbridled capitalism. Students should write their own darn papers and I try not to support those people who I think are exploiting them.
On the other hand, a student who is looking for editing or coaching to get papers written is another story – I …read more

Freelance Writing Jobs – 46 New Writing and Editing Jobs

Well darn, we have 46 New Writing and Editing Jobs… but I put 54 in the newsletter… actually, I didn’t edit the number from Friday, but the link still works… sigh.
I’m having some sort of fairly major allergy attack this morning… more sneezing than seems possible… San Diego is lovely, but we have more allergens running around than most… which has little to do with freelance writing… Just my excuse for the error.

Freelance Writing Jobs – 40 New Writing and Editing Jobs

I just posted 40 new writing and editing jobs. We’ve nattered on about the ads for folks willing to write articles for $4 or less but there’s another category that keeps showing up.
Every day there are a surprising number of folks who post ads asking writers to write for free. Some of these people actually pay to post these ads. Usually it’s someone with what they think is a good idea that will make a ton of money sometime. They are sure writers will jump on the opportunity.
And you know what? I’m sure they get responses. The truth is …read more

Freelance Writing Jobs – 47 New Writing and Editing Jobs

Writing gigs just keep rolling in… just posted 47 new writing and editing jobs.
Am I the only one who is amazed at the number of writing gigs out there? And when I realize that I’m only posting the ones that are true freelance jobs, and that even though there are lots on the ‘net, it only means that there are many more jobs for writers out there that never show up here. It all goes to show, I suspect, that if you truly want to freelance you can.

Freelance Writing Jobs – 36 New Writing/Editing JobsToday

36 New Writing/Editing JobsToday.
I’m curious to see how the jobs flow between now and the end of the year. Book publishing tends to slow down from about now until after New Years Day – that is, far fewer book proposals are actively considered during the holidays. Magazines have their holiday stories locked in long ago. Websites that count on holiday sales have most of their copy written.
Of course we writers start getting distracted about now too. I made reservations to fly to my daughter’s for Thanksgiving yesterday and Christmas looms.
In the past, writing jobs and gigs have slowed way down …read more

Freelance Writing Jobs – 44 Writing, Editing and Translation Jobs Today

44 Writing, Editing and Translation Jobs Today.
Why do I include translation jobs? Because in my mind, translation and writing and editing all work together. Of course, being a typical provincial citizen of the United States, I have only one language, but none-the-less, imo translation is part of the whole picture.
