For a while, reports have been circulating about the new Health Care Reform and how it will affect small business owners. Many are concerned that small business owners will be forgotten by the Reform and will be left out.

As a freelance writer, you own your own small business. So that begs a question about phone lines – should you own a business number? Here are the pros and cons:
Pros to having a Business Number:
You’ll never tie up your phone line wen other members of the family want to use it, or worry about tying up the line with personal calls when a client is trying to call.

Has Swine Flu Affected Your Business

Recently while researching about Swine flu, I found a video from MSNBC that shares how Swine flu could affect small businesses. There were pointers given to business owners on how to plan ahead in case Swine flu affects your employees.
This video gives suggestions to small business owners with employees and how they should have a backup plan in place where you could possibly allow employees to work from home. Or maybe if you are a soloprenuer you may have a contingency plan in place so that you can have business associates back you up in case you contract Swine flu.
