My little sister moved in with me for the summer while college is out. Having her around has been great; every night is filled with lots of laughs. One of the jokes we have is that we both let our laundry pile up too much – and when we literally have nothing more to wear, we say that we have to start the washer or we’ll be “free boobin’ it” the next day – i.e., we don’t even have any clean bras left!

July: A Month of Motivation

I’m officially declaring war on writer’s block, distractions, and procrastination during the month of July. Maybe it’s just me, but the summer months always seem to drag. Well, at least, they do when I’m working. I feel sluggish and uninspired. I can barely force myself to do the work I have to do to pay the bills, let alone work on fun personal projects.

Something a little light-hearted today, since I know most people will be picnicking today!
Freelance writers, repeat after me: When I should be writing, I will not…
…obsess over the cat hair on the floor, then crawl around on the floor picking up pieces of it, then decide I should brush my cat to prevent more pet hair, then spend an hour playing with my cat.
