According to market-research group IDC, Internet advertising spending has fallen an average of 5 percent across the globe this quarter, marking the second-straight quarterly decline for an industry that once showed immense promise. IDC has also predicted that we will see two more periods of decline for the Internet ad market and that it may not make significant rebounds until 2010.

Hot off Techcrunch, this morning Technorati is due to take the wraps off the new Technorati Media which, according to Techcrunch, aims to bring good paying CPM ads to the masses:
The company has been testing the new sales product with a number of partners, including BlogTalkRadio, BlogCritics, BlogCatalog, BlogTV, Technabob, GPSMagazine, GeekAlerts and NerdApproved. Overlay.tv lets you add to videos and earn a little cash too

Ottawa-based overlay.tv launched today with something that I think is pretty interesting and unique–letting users annotate and add to videos.
The idea is pretty simple (after you create an account) you find a video like on YouTube and put the URL into Overlay and then you, well, overlay stuff onto it.
