Speaking of Net Neutrality…

Part of Bill Moyers’ talk on the need for media reform included his belief we must have net neutrality if we are to maintain our democracy.
Low and behold, Mark, over at WorkBoxers, had put together a rather amazing set of links about net neutrality, including some from our northern neighbor, Canada. It will take some time to work through them, but it’s another one of those things we freelance writers really need to do… it can effect our ability to work directly.

Net Neutrality and Freelance Writers

“Net Neutrality” is one of those terms we hear from time-to-time. I was reminded of it today when I clicked on WorkBoxers Net Neutrality Links 11-24-2007, but I ended up being more confused than ever.
A search led me to Google’s Guide to Net Neutrality – good start, but the definitions are still squishy. But, after spending some time at SaveTheInternet.com, I think I get it. The question is:
Should ISPs (Internet Service Providers) – the folks we pay to get our internet connection, be allowed to control the content allow that travels over their networks?
