NaNoWriMo: Thumbs Up or Down?

I’ve signed up for NaNoWriMo every year for the past three or four years. I get all the emails about it. I hype myself up. At the start of the month, though, I always find myself busy with other project, and about a week or two in I decide that it’s too late to start now. Better luck next year.

November seems to be the month for writers to write like mad. First there’s National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo. I have one friend who has entered, is writing an R-rated mystery/suspense novel called, well, I guess it’s not named yet, and it’s definitely R-so if you don’t like or approve of rough language don’t bother.
There’s also National Blog Posting Month or NaBloPoMo – you can post on their site or on your own… but you’ve got to do a blog entry every single day.

Oh my, here it comes again… National Novel Writing Month. No, you don’t have to write it on a cell phone, you just have to get it written during the month of November – in other words in 30 days!
