Angus Burgers Coming to McDonald’s

On Thursday, you may notice a few additions to the menu at your local McDonald’s. In all their United States, McDonald’s will be unveiling a line of Angus burgers. These burgers will reportedly cost around four dollars each.
The three Angus burgers will include one with cheese and bacon, a second with mushrooms and swiss cheese and a third one with tomatoes and pickles. The burgers will contain 1/3rd pound of Angus beef.

McDonald’s Sales Up, U.S. Growth Down

Few restaurants are quite as closely associated to America as McDonald’s, but interestingly enough, McDonald’s is currently thriving much more in other parts of the world. What’s more, McDonald’s has reported that growth continues to slow in the United States, perhaps signaling a shift in attention for the restaurant chain.
Unfortunately for McDonald’s, overall sales were down 0.4 percent in the month of May, mostly attributable to the strengthening dollar. However, U.S. stores have seen a general decline in growth, with May of last year bringing in a 4.3 percent increase in sales while this year, sales only increased 2.8 percent. …read more

Should value mean more than just how much we pay at the register? That’s the question that Corporate Accountability International, an organization that has International, an organization that has compelled corporations from Nestle to General Electric to halt abusive practices, is now asking of the fast food industry.
In the wake of recent studies linking unhealthy diets to shortened life spans and elevated cancer risk, the organization is challenging fast food industry leaders McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s/Arby’s, and Yum! The word that most non-US businesspeople fear when discussing the US is “lawsuit.” It’s certainly true that the US system is different than most, for three primary reasons:
