Steelworkers Follow Edwards’ Lead

The United Steelworkers Union has announced its endorsement of Barack Obama.
The Union had previously endorsed John Edwards’ campaign.
The nod was announced via a statement issued on behalf of the Union:
“We find ourselves once again in agreement with Senator Edwards, this time with his decision last evening to endorse Senator Barack Obama.”
The USW joins the Transport Workers Union as former Edwards’ endorsers that have switched to Obama.

John Edwards announced Wednesday evening that he supports Barack Obama.
Edwards was on the weekend news shows reiterating his plea that Democrats join together to insure a win in November. He has called on Hillary Clinton to “do no damage” to the eventual nominee.
And last night Edwards echoed that sentiment as he announced his endorsement:
“The reason I am here tonight is the Democratic voters in America have made their choice and so have I,”
