I remember the night John Stockton from the Utah Jazz stepped back behind the 3-point line and hit the game winning shot that sent “The Utah Jazz to the NBA Finals!” I was so happy, I jumped up and down like a fanatical fan might do who has watched and waited for their team to WIN an incredible game. We didn’t win the ring that year, but I will never forget that shot. Ever had a bad interview experience? How do you recover?
I recommend to my clients after every interview, to assess their performance and give themself feedback. You know how well you did when you come out of the interview. No one has to tell you, you already know.
Questions you can ask youself:
How did it feel over all?
What did you do well? Should list at least 3 things
What didn’t you do well? Should list at least 3 things
What would you do differently if given the opportunity to interview again?
