If you’ve never seen Google Street View, you are missing out. The service takes online maps to a whole new level. Google Street View gives literally gives you a panoramic view of the street.
However, it hasn’t always been well received. Many individuals, businesses and government agencies have expressed complaints about a lack of privacy. One of the latest complaints was heard out of Germany — and Google has decided to listen.

What will sea level rise look like where you live?

One of the outcomes of global warming will be sea level rise. Ever wonder what it might look like in your neighborhood? I do, but I pretty much knew that my apartment would be okay, however it’s really interesting to see it in living colour. I found this cool mashup of Google Maps with sea level mapped over it–Sea Level Rise Explorer – Global Warming Art–and zoomed into the area around Victoria. Pretty interesting data.
