Rich McIver sent me a link to 101 Reasons Freelancers Do it Better over at HR World. The list, which apparently was put together by a group of editors, is broken into several categories, including Time, Sticking it to The Man, Money, Relationships, and others.

The Eclipse? Or Something Else?

I’m slogging today. My head feels full of fog and I’d really like to take a nap, which is odd because it’s not quite 9:30 a.m.
Part of the problem, I’m sure, is I got up twice last night to watch the lunar eclipse. For a change, San Diego had crystal clear skies which made viewing positively spectacular. I feel almost an obligation to view such events when I they occur literally in my back yard, and it’s always worth it. Kristen Fischer has provided a great list of resources over at Freelance Switch. It’s a delightful mix of the familiar to me as well as the wow-why-didn’t-I-know-about-that variety.
For example, one of the links is to Podcasting…for Writers? Sigh, I remember the days I was an early adapter, but I’m way behind and this article is a helpful overview of something I know I need to know about, but have been avoiding.
