Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 10

This week’s episode of The Celebrity Apprentice promises to be full of fireworks. I am writing this as I am watching the show tonight. After last week’s firing, which in my opinion was anti-climatic I am looking forward to some sparks this week.
Task: Choose an artist and sell art. Price it above the minimum pricing. The team that makes the most profits wins. Piers and Omarosa are the Project Managers. This show became a head to head match-up. In the end Pier’s was able to draw lots of friends who don’t mind opening their checkbook.

Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 9

Last Thursday’s episode of The Apprentice was a little sad. Tito was fired, but I am getting a little ahead of myself. The task this week partnered two strong business brands, Dial Soap and Redbook.
Task: To create a 4-page photo essay or photo layout that will promote Dial Nourishing Yogurt Body Wash. Each team would be judged on three criteria: creativity, integration of the brand, overall message and content. Each was also given a photographer and a full photo studio to complete their task.
Tito stepped up or was pushed up to be the project manager for Empresario. Carol stepped up …read more

Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 8

Mr. Trump made it clear to both teams this week, that though he “extended grace” last week, there would be no grace this week. Someone would be fired this week from the losing team.
The Task: Write, direct and produce a 10-minute live segment. Pick a product and sell it. The team who sells the most wins.
The project managers this week, Stephen Baldwin for Empresario and Marilu Henner for Hydra. Each of the teams this week worked well together for the most part. The show was definitely more focused on the task at hand rather than personal attacks on players. I …read more

Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 4

This weeks episode of The Apprentice proved to be interesting to say the least.
The Task: Each team would send in two negotiators to negotiate for, 4 Broadway plays. The teams would then sell tickets for two hours, to their plays and the team who sells the most wins. Very simple task.
The Project Managers for this task were Vinnie Pastore and Marilu Henner.
The Results: Hydra, Vinnie’s team sold $33,300 worth of tickets and Empresario, Marilu’s team sold $31,757 worth of tickets. The men win again! Wow! In the end Jenny Finch got fired. Was she the one? Should she have …read more

Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 3

Introduction of Week 3 : Week 3 began with Mr. Trump asking Gene Simmons to join Empresario and lead the women’s team to VICTORY! Which of course didn’t happen, but I am getting ahead of myself.
The Task Week 3: Kodak Mobile Printing Experience
Each team was given an air-stream mobile bus, Kodak cameras, the Easy Share All-In-One printers to create a mobile printing experience to introduce this new product to customers. The criteria for determining the winning team are: originality, brand messaging and profit.
Empresario’s planning session began with Gene Simmons introducing himself as the “benevolent dictator”. Yuck! What is that and how in the world …read more

Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 2

Introduction to Week 2: Stephen Baldwin had the opportunity to present the winning check from last week’s win to his mother’s charity for the Caroline Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. It was a beautiful moment in the show.
Hydra’s ad was brillant. It was excellent! How they got there was based on years of experience, and skill.
Week Two Task: Pet Adoption Month – 30 Second Commercial
Each team was given the task to create a 30 second ad for the Pedigree Adoption Drive. Each ad will be judged on message, origniality and creativity. The winning team Project Manager will win $20,000 for their charity.
Empresario’s planning session went …read more

Season 7 – The Apprentice – Week 1

Introduction to Week 1:
Mr. Trump began the show talking about commodities. A commodity by one of the definitions is one that is subject to ready exchange or exploitation within a market. In this case, stars or celebrities. Mr. Trump’s introduction really was a backdrop for setting up the next several weeks of this new season of The Apprentice. Instead of playing for a job, they are playing for a charity. Only one will become the Celebrity Apprentice.
Recap Week One: The celebrities were divided into two teams, females and males. Their first assignment was to select a team name and the first project manager. The ladies …read more
