Day 1 of DEMO is in the can and … wow what a day of contrasts.  There were some awesome demos–apps or services you start to try before the six minutes are up–and those you just have a WTF moment.
There were a couple presentations that didn’t go as well as planned (including a softly uttered f-bomb) and others that were polished and flawless.  That is, of course, the way it is at conferences.  However DEMO is different.  Selected companies have to pay $19,000 to be here and present for 6, yes 6, minutes.  That’s a ton of pressure.  Most presentations …read more
