This Sunday, March 8, begins Daylight Saving Time. That’s right; it’s that time of year when the government conspires to rob us of one hour’s sleep. I have to admit, though, that it’s nice to have that extra hour of evening sun in the spring and summer. Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour before you retire for the night on Saturday. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am on Sunday.

What time is it where you are?

I must hear the phrase “What time is it where you are?” at least once a week. In my company of 600 people, we have offices in 3 continents and 9 time zones (including our two offshore teams, one in Bulgaria, the other in India).
Counting the hours between the time zones isn’t that difficult; it is usually daylight saving time or just the way we read the clock (time notation) which gets us mixed up.
