LinkedIn?

OK, OK, I’m LinkedIn. Nine million of us are. I’m building a fair number of contacts there and have even declined invitations from people I don’t know. So what?
Outside of recruiters viewing the site looking for potential candidates, what have you gotten out of LinkedIn?
I’m missing out on the pimpalicious work tips that must be coming from the site…

So let’s be clear: this Pimp is cynical of anything Corporate. In fact, working in a cube means it is management’s approach to the work and when you get to the nice panel office it is all about sacrificing for the corporation.

In the beginning, so to speak, there was brainstorming. And it was good.
It just didn’t work out very well in practice…
Brainstorming is critical to finding innovative ideas that will solve specific problems, both in your personal and business life.
 
The process is simple:

Focus on Quantity of ideas
No criticism
Unusual ideas are welcome
Combine and improve ideas

Is this your “morning” office?

I saw this pic on WebWorkerDaily yesterday and a) had to leave a comment and b) find time to blog it.  Liz took this pic at a local cafe and was struck by all the similar laptops and how the laptop users were all facing in the same direction.  Which, of course, prompted Liz to request more pics from the wild on cafe-geekdom (e-mail them to the blog).
