As a freelance writer, you own your own small business. So that begs a question about phone lines – should you own a business number? Here are the pros and cons:

You’ll never tie up your phone line wen other members of the family want to use it, or worry about tying up the line with personal calls when a client is trying to call.

Will IRS Enforce Cell Phone Tax?

If your company has issued you a cell phone, you may have to start deciding whether or not you really need to send that email or text message, especially if you are watching your budget. That’s because the IRS has issued proposals to more strictly enforce a law that views company-issued cell phones as a taxable benefit.
