Once again, I will be guest blogging from the WKYC studios in Cleveland. I want to thank Maddy for this third opportunity to share my experience with OneVoteMatters.com. For the primaries, I brought you the results from Ohio’s Cuyahoga County BOE Counting House as they rolled in and I also covered Ohio’s primary debate from the WKYC studios.

New Poll: Bob Barr’s Participation

As far as third party nominees go, it’s pretty clear that Bob Barr is in the lead. He’s getting national name recognition, but — despite taking the matter to the courts — he’s been excluded from events such as last weekend’s Saddleback Civil Forum.

Bob Barr’s name will be on the ballot in all fifty states, come November. To say that Barr is a viable third party candidate is putting the situation mildly.
Ralph Nader was accused of ’spoiling’ John Kerry’s run for president in 2004. Nader was only on the ballot in 34 states.
I won’t argue that Barr has come near to either Barack Obama or John McCain’s numbers. But I think that his candidacy is already having a significant affect on this presidential campaign. Bob Barr may be starting a serious bid for the presidency as a Libertarian, following up on the exploratory committee he formed last month. The Libertarian party seems to be considering him a frontrunner for the party’s nomination, which will be decided at the Libertarian convention on May 22. He’s even got a site up for his run.
