Just posted 70 New Writing, Blogging, Editing and Translation Jobs.
That brings our total for the week to something like 182 new freelance writing jobs! My local paper, The San Diego Union, brags that it has 100 new jobs a day, and that’s everything from telesales to execs. I won’t be looking there for a gig.

There have been a rash of jobs, well maybe a dozen over several months, that ask for women writers only, or female writers only. I always look at these ads with suspicion. Seems like there were way more blogging jobs than usual… companies with new year’s resolutions? Who knows!

As I wander through thousands of job postings to find true work-in-your-pjs gigs for writers, bloggers, editors, etc., I’m often amazed at the number of jobs I know could be done remotely, yet the prospective employer makes it clear they won’t even consider a telecommuting option. When you think about it, very few writing, editing and blogging jobs need to be done onsite. With email, fast internet connections, and the ease with which we can send documents back and forth, writing remotely only makes sense.
