More Pay for Blackberry Users in Canada?

You gotta love Canada…
The union there for governmental employees says that Blackberry users are always “on call” and should earn more money due to the increased availability. ” Ed Cashman of the AFPC has been quoted as saying: “these devices have changed the definition of working time” and need to be included in the new contracts for public service workers.
More power to you, Ed!

Blackberry owners rejoice

Who knew? Apparently the South Korean market has been closed to blackberries, leaving hundreds of visiting “crackberry” addicts with twitching thumbs and a slightly frantic, wasted look due to a few minutes offline. That may soon change, according to this article in the Wall Street Journal (registration required), which attributes the lack of blackberry access to regulations intended to protect homegrown cell phone manufacturers like Samsung.

The Blackberry “B” List is a small application you can download to your Blackberry for storing and sharing your favorite locations for dining, drinks and shopping. The idea sounded interesting to me; it certainly got a lot of press, most recently in Cosmopolitan. So I downloaded it to see what all the hype is about.
My mistake. Articles like “Paris Hilton’s favorite club” and similar should have been a warning sign to me. I was probably the last person on earth to find out who Paris Hilton is, plus I never agree with the opinions and tastes I see in Cosmopolitan.
