Share Coffee with Your Team: Monday Morning Management Tip

March 24, 2008 by Phil Gerbyshak
Filed under Monday Morning Management Tips

Instead of having coffee alone, every day this week take a member of your team to coffee with you and find out a little more about how each associate on your team feels things are going. Start with the most junior member and work your way to the most senior.

Monday Morning Management Tips are a new series that you can implement in 15 minutes or less a day to improve the quality of your management and your team. If you have a great tip, please leave it in the comments or send me an e-mail (phil.gerbyshak@b5media.com).

Great idea. When you take these people for coffee, work on the principle that the higher up you go in the organization, the less information you have about what’s really going on. Get these people to really talk to you. Find out what’s really going on. You might be surprised.
