Firefox-based browser for infovores

I haven’t spent much time with this yet, so don’t have a full review, but wanted to at least point this out for folks who might benefit.
There’s a new Firefox-based browser called Zotero that is aimed at scholars, but would be of use to pretty much anyone who is a rabid consumer/collector of information. The basic idea is that Zotero pulls a bunch of research tools into a single browser, for the benefit of humanities scholars. Or anyone else who needs to/likes to do web-based research but is easily confused.
The browser supports the collection of materials, like pdf, images, links, whole pages, etc. Also supports the search of those collections. Can export to EndNote and allows you to take notes within the browser. Etc…
Very interesting, and if you’re a committed infovore, probably worth checking out.

Hmm … I don’t know if my eyes are deceiving me or not. But from what I read at zotero.org, Zotero is a Firefox extension … and not a “new Firefox-based browser” as you say.
There’s a whole world of difference between the two.
Yeah, George, you’re right. It’s an extension, not a new browser.
You crack it open, though? It’s the most extensive extension (huh?) I’ve used and probably comes as close to a full on browser mod as anything short of Flock.
But you’re right. It’s an extension.
Wow, now thats an extension. I would say its more of a mod than just a pure extension. The extensions i’m used to are pretty small compared to this.
Help me please…
I just installed Firefox 2.0, and all of a sudden, my username/password isn't being inserted in the signon window (it always was before). I tried the usual suspects–I did not mistakenly tell FF not to remember the password for this site; and I also tried the remember password bookmarklet, but all to no avail–FF will not ask me to remember this password. What do I need to do to get around this?
Please add firefox cookies/bad web sites immunization in next version!
Firefox 2 cannot reject third party cookies!!!!!!!!
