Rajesh Setty wrote a delightful change this manifesto: Mini Sagas: Bite Size Lessons for Life and Business.

A mini saga is written in 50 words -not more, not less, exactly 50 words.

Rajesh lists 3 benefits of writing a mini saga:

  1. Writing a mini saga expands your creativity.
  2. Writing a mini saga stretches your thinking.
  3. Writing a mini saga enhances your discipline.

Here is an example of one of the sagas that Rajeesh offers:

The Interview

That was her last interview for the day. She had done well. The job was almost guaranteed. While the pay and position were good, there was some discomfort. She didn’t think that she was reporting to a person who could lift her to the next level. She silently walked away.

Watch for the first Management Mini Saga Case Study in Slacker Manager on August 19th. You will have the opportunity to determine what should come next when Alex makes a startling discovery after working late on a Thursday night.

It’s quite interesting how they made that short story exactly 50 words, didn’t look like it.
