Thank you to our valued customers, but due to economic hardships beyond our control we are now closed.
The sign was taped to the door Friday after the Saratoga Springs, NY Quiznos served the last customer of its 2 1/2 year run. The four partners in the franchise venture (Dan Warren and Rob Tecler of Saratoga Springs, Mike Beshara of South Glens Falls and Neil Rinehimer of Jupiter, FL) also abandoned plans to open a Wilton, NY Quiznos to which they also own the franchise rights.
Reasons for their Quiznos franchise failure? Dan Warren says it’s a range of factors, including heavy competition, a poor location, road work in front of the store, and the burden of required purchases with added Quizno’s Corp. mark-up.
Last year, the nearby Ballston Spa Quiznos franchise closed. Roger Sharp, who owns Quiznos franchises in Glens Falls, claims his stores are profitable but has both of them up for sale.

Quiznos…no surprise to here of diminishing traffic…I stopped going years ago for a very simple reason, very simple; nobody would put mayo on my sandwich…I had to do it myself, find the little troubling packets of mayo, open the packet…figure out how to spread it evenly across the sandwich…and here’s the kicker; do this while handling business and/social meetings.
Sorry Quiznos…but in football, and business, if you can move the ball 10 yards…you get another 4 plays (sales), move it 10 yard, get another 4 plays (sales)…it is the last yard that gets you the first down…Quiznos was never able to get the first down over a simple omission in their playbook…give me a sandwich I want that doesn’t make me think about anything that might be omitted…do the thinking for me…give me what is expected…”no” is not a word in the sub-shop vernacular.
Check out In-N-Out Burger if you want a lesson in customer service…although privately owned…their model is barebones simple…employees are top-tier “people persons” and you have a great and carefree experience…for very little cost/effort…no mental energy required.
