If you read my 8 Random Things About Me Post back in July, you might remember that my favorite cartoon character is Snoopy, and like most women, I love clothes. So imagine my excitement when I read about the MetLife Snoopy in Fashion Show that was held last night in New York City’s Bryant Park.
The fashion show was sponsored by MetLife (NYSE: MET) who uses the Snoopy character as an icon for its brand. Designers and celebrities participated in the MetLife Snoopy Fashion Show by creating clothes inspired by the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz. In late October, the designs by participants like Isaac Mizrahi and Whoopi Goldberg will be auctioned off on eBay with proceeds going to Dress for Success, an organization that provides low-income women with clothing and support to help them succeed in the workplace.
This is a great event to generate publicity for MetLife and Dress for Success. You can read more about the MetLife Snoopy in Fashion Show here.
