Mac vs. PC - Experiental Branding at Work

Let’s face it, the Mac vs. PC commercials are brilliant. They’re simple yet communicate so much in terms of differentiating Macs from PCs and hyping the cult brand status Macs have come to represent. They’re also consistent and nothing helps branding more than consistency.
Check out the Mac vs. PC commercials from the U.S. and the U.K. to see for yourself. Each YouTube video below includes a compilation of Mac vs. PC commercials.
Experience counts for a lot when it comes to brand loyalty and word-of-mouth marketing. Mac customers have great experiences with the brand and they become loyal, vocal brand advocates. Mac leverages positive experiential branding to differentiate its brand from the home computer market leader, and Apple is slowly chipping away at the competition.
Even I’m falling for the ads, relationship branding, experiential branding and buzz from loyal Mac customers. I’m thinking of investing in a Mac. Should I let myself fall for the hype or should I rely on everyone else’s experiences and become another Mac customer? Once I experience the brand, will I become a Mac advocate, too? It certainly seems that way.
What do you think?

These commercials are priceless in where they take actual facts conveyed as conversations between the systems that regular people can relate to. If PC used the topics in these commercials and corrected each issue, the commercials would lose validity. I’m sure there are some pretty smart people behind PC, but I guess that’s easier said then done.
