Wild Apricot’s Marketing Foray

Toronto-based Wild Apricot must be doing alright given it’s one of TechCrunch’s sponsors. Wild Apricot bills its as the "Web 2.0 software for non-profit organizations", which strikes me as a bit odd given Web 2.0 is about Web-based services rather than "software". In any event, the company provides user-friendly adminstrative tools for non-profits to handle Web site management, e-mail campaigns, member databases, donations and event registrations.

    Hi there,
Web 2.0 is a very broad term and covers many different things. You might be right that Web services is a key aspect. For me, Web 2.0 is also about much more user friendly interface (achieved via AJAX and other stuff).
