TechVibes gets the coolest stories. Well I do try to scoop them as much as I can-friendly competition is good! The latest bit is that Hothead Games founder has been named one of Vancouver’s Top 40 under 40 (I have a little less than two years to make that this-gotta work harder in 2008 I think!):
Hothead Games, one of Vancouver’s newest game development studios, has gained new acclaim with company founder Vlad Ceraldi’s inclusion in Business in Vancouver’s 2008 Top 40 Under 40 list. Source: Hothead Founder joins BIV’s 40 Under 40
And not ones to toot their own horn, though they should, Vancouver’s own Miss 604 named TechVibes the best new tech blog. Hmm, maybe we need to do a Vancouver Island edition. We Islanders don’t get the props often enough…
There’s an idea. Let’s get some nominations for the best blogs and bloggers from Vancouver Island. I’m betting I can score some prizes for the winners. Yes, I said prizes. I’m big on software, but I bet we could get some of those strange book things, and maybe even hardware.
Categories… let’s just see what we come up with, but I know we’re going want podcasts, tech, men, women, review, fun, news …
Okay let’s get to it folks.
Update none other than KK+ (Kris Krug) put up a list of the Vancouver Tech Women to Watch in 2008. Can’t agree more with his choices!

A friend of mine who I also do a podcast with runs a great hockey blog from Vancouver Island: http://www.canucksandbeyond.com
Hi Rebecca! Thanks for swinging by!
Sports blog! Cool! Thanks for the tip!
Thanks Tris - it’s not often Techvibes beats you to the punch though.
Van Isle Bloggers? How about Aidan Henry and his http://www.mappingtheweb.com.
Yep I was thinking about Aidan…there are lots of great bloggers over here. The Victoria Web meetup was rather cool.
where’s the 40 under 40 list posted?
Not exactly a blog per se, but we are a “Microsoft Platform Developer” technical community here in Victoria and we’re having a conference on January 26th.
