The elevator pitch is a much talked about but, unfortunately, badly understood concept. Too many companies spend too much time badly explaining what they do, the problem their trying to solve and how they will make money. This is not only a problem faced by entrepreneurs but public relationships firms who struggle when they pitch reporters on stories that are impossible to understand. Sean Wise, who has carved out a niche within the Web community by coaching start-ups on how to present themselves to investors, has a YouTube video that spells out the elevator pitch and how to do it. It’s a must-watch for entrepreneurs interested in VC.
