There’s nothing like spelling mistakes to make your Web site or blog look unprofessional, right? But with spellcheckers built into most word-processing and blog publishing tools, you figure they would catch almost everything that wasn’t spelled correctly.

Unfortunately, they don’t get everything. In fact, human error/oversight often means a lot more spelling mistakes than you think make their way on to a blog or Web site.

This is where automated spellchecking services come into play. One of them is Toronto-based TextTrust, which offers two different types of services - Express and Pro - based on the number of pages you want reviewed, how often you want reports and how much customer support you want. While TextTrust automates as much as it can, the company also uses editors to double-check spelling mistakes, and build its spelling database.

Out of curiosity, I submitted Maple Leaf 2.0 to TextTrust for a free spell check. When I get the results back in a couple of days, I’ll update disclose how many spelling mistakes there were.
