Marketing YOUrself: Reinventing Yourself

Yesterday on my way home, I heard the news on the radio announce that more companies are cutting jobs. According to an article I found on World News and World Report, “the economy shed 80,000 more jobs during March, the biggest monthly drop since 2003 and the latest sign that the employment picture is darkening amid the threat of recession.” I have to admit, the job market is tight right now, and even that may be an understatement. But as I shared a couple of weeks ago, there are jobs out there. Take a look at this post from March 29th, Video Instruction: Recession Proof Your Career. As I stated in that post, you are responsible for making yourself recession proof - or reinventing yourself.

Here are some questions I found at Reinvent Yourself Now!

1. If my path had heart, what would it look like or feel like? How would I think or act differently?

2. If you had all the money, training, and emotional support to be all you can be, what would you have accomplished by now?

3. What did you dream about being or doing as a child?

Don’t allow yourself to speak negatively about what you can and cannot do. Just answer the questions and allow yourself to reflect on what you have written. I will stop for now and add a video I found later for you to consider as you take advantage of your opportunity to reinvent yourself and take charge of your life!
