Darren Rowse, creator of ProBloger.com has an interesting article called Being ‘Discovered’ vs ‘Slow and Steady’ Blog Growth. It’s actually a response to readers questions about statistics and making money with blogs.
Rowse knows of where he speaks – he makes significant money writing blogs. Can you (and I) do the same? Maybe. I can’t pay my rent yet with my blogs, but they do pay a significant portion of it. I’m definitely in the “slow and steady” category.
The tricks, if there are any, is the topic and marketing. Isn’t it always for us writers?

I have been getting slow growth on http://www.encouraginghealth.com, but very little income (for march, it was $.29), and my http://360.yahoo.com/cwbybrick writers blog is getting slow and steady hits, but there isn’t opportunity for income. I’m hoping for name recognition for when my book(s) are released (after I find an agent, of course).
Doesn’t yahoo allow you to share in the advertising? If not, you might consider switching to blogger or word press.
how would I go about doing that?
