Hillary Clinton cites possible assassination as reason to stay in Dem Race.

Senator Clinton was speaking in South Dakota when she addressed the issue of continuing her campaign.
She noted that her husband, Bill Clinton, did not become the presumptive nominee until June, 1992 and…
“We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.”
Senator Clinton’s campaign insists that the comment was intended to illustrate how past races have gone on until the summer, but it was, at best, a very poor choice of example.
And, of course, in the past, states did not all hold their primaries (rightly or wrongly) in the first few months of the election year.

What a poor choice of an example, especially in light of Ted Kennedy’s recent diagnosis.
Interesting choice of words for Hillary. Also, your title to this post is an interesting interpretation…and gives food for thought.
You know that if, god forbid, anyone even TRIES to do harm to Obama there are going to be a lot of people who will never forgive her for this comment. And I would like to think that she feels lousy about it anyway, but I have really questioned what’s going on inside her head in recent months . . . I’m not saying she’s actually hoping anything happens to Obama. Instead, it strikes me as part of a pattern of reckless comments designed to achieve short-term goals without regard to long-term consequences. And I think that’s the LAST thing voters should see as presidential these days . . . .
I pray God protects Obama. Clinton’s remark is a unfourtunant mirror of where our nation is. Kill to get ahead. It almost sounds like her hope is resting on the possibility of Obama’s assassination. I hope different. Makes me wonder if that’s why Obama chose Biden to run with him.
