Well my team is setting up social networks for my companie. Our testing ground is our own social network. So i guess i have to say, yes i visit social networks at work. On a side note, in our department, we are about to faze out email because the SN is working so well. But i highly doubt we could faze it out company wide.

In fact, I delete my facebook account. I in fact think that LinkedIn could end up being more useful than Facebook. Facebook is fun, but it seems like there’s a lot of potential for Linked In to be used for business networking.
Hi5? Maybe for my teenage son…
Absolutely not - although mostly because they are blocked by my companies firewall and blocking software.
However, what a GREAT idea - internal company SN. That could be a communications department dream!
An internal social network *does* sound like a great idea. Especially if it can be integrated with your other social networking accounts. It might be costly (in terms of both time and money) for companies to develop one, especially if it might not have a directly positive impact on profits. (Although PYW reader gautch’s company seems to be moving in that direction.)
But if someone develops an opensource platform for that kind of stuff, it might just work.
