Business Bloggers Doin’ It for Charity

If you take a tour around the b5media Business Channel, you’ll find a number of bloggers who committed to posting once an hour for a day, to raise money for charity in a Blog Off.
The cause of choice: Accion, a microfinance organization that gives entrepreneurs loans to get their enterprises off the ground, or to expand an existing small business.
I had a chance to visit India in the early 1990s, and visited several micro-lending organizations and mutual self-help groups, affiliated with the co-operative system.
Much better than most international development methods, microfinance helps communities and families grow more self-sufficient, one small business at a time.

Well done, bloggers!
