My Opinion

They sent me one to review a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE IT. I’ve had a hard time finding a color printer that (a) I can afford, (b) works with my Mac, and (c) works wirelessly with the five computers in my house while (d) producing high-quality printed pages. Seriously, best printer ever. I also like that it’s energy efficient and that you can print photos directly from your camera or a memory card.

Also, no joke, the pages are like waterproof. It said so in the materials and I was all, "WHATEVER!" but then I printed a photo (of myself, because I’m a dork) and ran it under water for a whole minute and rubbed it with my hand and the ink didn’t even smudge. It’s like seriously magical. (Well, I’m sure it’s not SERIOUSLY magical, but it sure seems it.)

How to Win

If you want one of these amazing, possibly magical Epson WorkForce 600 All-in-One Color Inkjet Printers, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post saying whether you currently use an inkjet, a laser printer, or (gasp!) a dot matrix printer, or if you just don’t have a printer at all. Make sure the e-mail address you provide is valid.

The deadline is Monday, October 20, at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.

The Fine Print

Rules and regs for the contest:

  1. Comments like, "Give it to me!" or "I want to win!" ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. You have to answer the question.
  2. One entry per person, and yes, I do check IP addresses to remove duplicates.
  3. Biz Dudes are just as eligible to enter as Biz Chicks. I and my husband are the only people not eligible to enter. Everyone else, including my co-blogger, can enter and win.
  4. Comments must be received by Monday, October 20, at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
  5. I will use the random sequence generator at Random.org to choose two lucky winners (who will be the first two eligible entries in the sequence). The announcement of the winner will be FINAL. No arguing.

Good luck!

  1. jennydecki says:

This would be fantastic! I’ll share it on my blog as well…even though I want to have all the entries to myself! LOL

  2. Allison says:

I use an inkjet - the one that came free with my computer. It is a total pos though, so I haven’t been able to justify buying a new ink cartridge. I do not have a scanner, though, so if I win, that will be the major advantage for me!

  3. Mine’s an HP Deskjet All-In-One…I don’t know what that means? Inkjet? Laser? Anyone?! :)

  4. K-IntheHouse says:

I use a Brother laserjet printer but it has nowhere near the features this Epson has. Would be sweet to win one. :-)

  5. Angelique says:

Well, I use an HP printer/scanner. But I would SO like something new with fax capability! :) (hint, hint)

Seriously, awesome contest! It’s great for us work-from-home writers.

  6. Tisa says:

I use a Canon inkjet, but I could stand to step my game up :) I will post a link this on Talk Stock Trading.

  7. Tim says:

I currently use an inkjet printer, but it is getting on its years and is beginning to eat my paper! A new printer would be great!

  8. Tosha says:

I use a laser printer and an inkjet to get all of my business done. Laser when it just has to be functional, inkjet when I need color or pictures copied.

  9. Sagan says:

Wow, this sounds very impressive! I don’t have a printer myself, but the one that we currently use at work (a small business- vet clinic) is laser.

  10. eshoe says:

OOOOOOOOH, this would be so loverly for my biz!!! Thanks for the contest.

  11. faith24 says:

I have an older printer that is not compatible with my new laptop, which is terrible because I am a full-time student and have to print a lot of reports and research papers. I hope I will win this because I am tired of driving to the university every time I need to print something:)

  12. Angela says:

I use an inkjet, but it’s already broken once.

  13. Susan says:

I use a laser and inkjet, but I’d love to replace that inkjet!

  14. Layna says:

I use an inkjet, I suppose. There are some pencils stuck in it, who knows if it is working lol.

  15. Jean Murray says:

I have several printers: (1)A color laserjet, which I use for “serious” business printing. It prints great stuff but its cartridges are very expensive ($80) so I don’t use it much. (2)An “all in one” printer which doesn’t work with my MAC, so I just use it to make copies. I need this printer, because I need to be able to scan and fax documents.
    Thanks for offering these, Kristen.

  16. danielo says:

    I am printer-less!

  17. RJ says:

I’m currently on the hunt for a printer, as I sadly do not have one… And I’m learning it’s hard to work from home without one!

  18. Grace says:

I have an ink-guzzler! It’s a HP photosmart I think it’s an ink jet but it sure wastes ink like nothing else so i rarely use it. I’ve been looking for an inkjet that copies more than 30 cpm and i didn’t think one exists anymore! at least not the cheaper ones. and then this! oy.

  19. Diane says:

I have an old canon ink jet. I use it for pictures and printing graphics. But would like a newer one to handle everyday printer/scanning/fax needs. I especially like the waterproof ink…we tend to tip a lot of glasses while my beloved photos are laying around. Thank you for the offer!

  20. Jess says:

I currently use whatever’s available at the library, as my printer died when I was in college. A new printer would be insanely helpful.

  21. I have an HP6100 wireless printer that I LOVE…except I can’t get it to work on my Vista laptop. I hope this one would be better for me.

winner winner, chicken dinner! Pick me pick me! :)

  22. Lisa says:

I have an HP All-in-One InkJet. I would SO love to upgrade to this one!!

  23. Matthew says:

I currently use a inkjet printer! Pretty nice HP one, too.

  24. barbara says:

Love Epson and have had several. Using Sylus CX4200 right now, but always thinking of the future!
    Thanks!

  25. Lori says:

Currently I have a fantastic Canon all-in-one. Seriously, I love these machines. I don’t want to be entered because I’m already set up, but those of you without one will love having it! Good luck!

  26. Anne Wayman says:

Currently I have an hp office jet j5780 all in one… new a couple of months ago and I don’t like it at all… so if I win this one I’ll donate the other. Great contest.

  27. Tim says:

I have an inkjet that is not working very well. It has been a good printer but is wearing out.

  28. Dhadha says:

Hi there Kristen! Mine is Cannon Pixma iP1000 — an inkjet I think ;)

  29. Ellavemia says:

My current printer situation is bleak. I simply don’t have one. I have used Epson in the past at my place of business and I must say that I enjoy the ability to replace only the colors I’ve run out of. It’s very convenient when I print a ton of brochures with blue print. I’d love to get my hands on one of these so I can get back to print work.

  30. franselva says:

    I’ve only a inkjet printer.

I never really tried a laser printer. I hope that this is the time I can do it

  31. Kathy says:

My Canon BJC 4300 bit the dust and the Epson Workforce 600 would fit perfectly in my home office and give me more, and better print capabilities.

  32. DJ Tom says:

This printer ROCKS!!! I would love to be able to print out color CD Covers and Band Promos. This Giveaway ROCKS!!!

  33. reeva says:

Wow what a great giveaway. We dont have a printer. I have to take stuff to kinko’s if i have to print. Luckily its open 24 hrs. The last printer we had was a canon and it was terrible.

  34. Ben says:

i just use a plain old inkjet. it is slow and the color sucks. but it prints.

  35. Erin says:

Unfortunately, I don’t have a printer at all. And I really need one!

  36. Shannan P says:

My poor all-in-one HP is on its last legs. It has served me well for the past 3 years, but it needs to be put out to pasture…or at least given to the teens to finish it off.

Do you know what waterproof pages would do for me with two toddlers? Really? It would be totally miraculous!!

  37. Susan N says:

I use an inkjet, but it is playing out on me. I use this thing constantly too! I need one for three co op classes that I teach for our homeschool group as well as business and personal use! I would love to win!

  38. David says:

I owned a Canon inkjet printer before it recently crapped out on me. Nothing like a college student with no printer LOL

  39. Lisa S. says:

Pretty awesome give away! I have an inkjet.

  40. Colleen says:

I use a borrowed epson ink jet i think. not a great printer, but heck, it prints and it works, which is more than I can say for the HP deskjet we have kicking around at home. :)

  41. Connie Walsh says:

We have a epson all-in-one but it takes all my IT genius to keep it working with 4 laptops, 1 mac and 1 desktop. I love the epson printer, it will always be my first choice.

The website is my hubby’s blog.

  42. Rebecca C says:

I don’t have a printer at all, mine died and it hasn’t been replaced yet. I guess about 2 years later :P

  43. Guru says:

I’ve never owned a printer ever.

  44. CharleneAnn says:

My printer is just BnW it’s THAT old ummmmm would LOOOOOVE to win ((hint hint))

  45. This one looks like an awesome printer!
I just moved to a new country, where printers are ridiculously expensive, while I need one urgently!
    Help!

  46. Ed Labetski says:

    Hey,
Great contest. I don’t even own a printer yet but it would be sweetbiz to print out all the pictures and illustrations I make.

  47. Miranda says:

I use a laser printer that does scan/fax. A color printer would be nice to have, though. Mine only does black & white/grayscale. Besides, my Brother printer is starting to falter. I’ve had it for quite some time.

  48. Yelowflower Mo says:

I have several printers and they are all ink-jet. my favorite is my epson c84, but it broke (jets clogged sob) so I am on the lookout for a new one. Thanks

  49. Jennifer says:

    I use an inkjet.

Great blog (I subscribe via RSS). I really enjoy the daily feed!

  50. jennydecki says:

Here’s my real entry: I currently use an inkjet.

    Thank you…and goodnight LOL

  51. trish says:

I use an inkjet that sucks down the ink and jams my paper each and every time.

  52. Huguette E. says:

I “used” a cannon inkjet, however it broken down last month, so if I need something printed we email to my mother and we print there.

  53. Ivy says:

I use an inkjet all-in-one printer, that is constantly in use by my daughter for her homework assignments. I would love to set her up with her own printer.

  54. Terra Jones says:

    We have an all-in-one-inkjet printer…it’s OK ;-)

  55. Go Amie says:

I work I use a laser printer, but at home I don’t have anything; even dot matric would be an upgrade!

  56. Ry says:

Ooo, I’m drooling a little. I actually don’t have a printer. I had one, but it bit the dust and I haven’t been able to afford a new one. This would be perfection!

  57. Shilo Beedy says:

I have a cheap printer I purchased from walmart after are nice one broke down. I think it’s a inkjet printer I have.

  58. I have a laser printer that I use for regular printing - it only does black and white. I have a color printer/scanner that I use whenever I need to print color or photos. The ink for the color printer is so much more expensive than toner that I try to use the laser printer whenever I can. Thanks for the giveaway!

    Homemaker Barbi (Danelle Ice)

  59. Sara B. says:

We’ve had (what I’m realizing) a common problem with our printers. We’d get one and it would work well for about 3 months…then nothing! Agh! So, we’ve been w/o a printer for 4 years and we really need it for my hubby’s work at home. We’re tired of printing stuff off at Kinkos!
    bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com

  60. Betsy says:

I have an older lazor printer but I would love to have a printer where the ink doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!

  62. Tammi says:

I have an inkjet printer right now. I use it for printing documents and pictures for artwork but I’ve been going to Kinko’s recently for better quality. A new one would make me smile.

  63. Ginny says:

I don’t have one right now, so I use my dads Epson when I need to print something. He’d be so happy if I won one!!!

  64. michelle says:

I have an inkjet at home, but end up “outsourcing” for print jobs that need to look really good. I could use this prize!

THanks for the cool contest :D

  68. sandy says:

would love a new printer - our old one is on its last leg, and prints half the time

  69. karissa says:

I use a laser and it is extremely fast, but wow, the toner is quite pricey. my bf got it for me last year for christmas. this would be GREAT for pictures, and heck he can have that one, cause his stinks! hehe!

  70. Lisa says:

I am currently using an old HP color inkjet all-in one. I’ve had this printer for about ten years. It is still working, but the quality isn’t there anymore. It also lacks the wireless capabilities that make life so much easier these days! Thanks for the opportunity to win a new printer!

  71. Katie Lyons says:

What an awesome giveaway! I’m definitely an Epson girl, they are all I buy when it comes to printers, they’re the best! I currently use an ink-jet (epson of course), but would love to have this one too so I don’t have to go hook my laptop up everytime I need to print something. Thanks so much for the chance!
    Katie Lyons

I have an ink jet printer I am presently using
    Thanks

  73. Flisha says:

    Hmm, well let’s see.

I just recently received an HP inkjet, and while I’m away from home (on study leave) I am using it. But it’s a bit slow.

Back at home, I have an HP laserjet, and I love it to bits. Prints finely and very fast.

And at work, everyone gets to print for free using the (gasp!!) Epson dot matrix. Yes, really.

  74. Sarah says:

We currently have a Canon Pixma MP160. I like that it is a scanner and copier too, but unfortunately it only works about half the time.

    inkjet

This printer would improve my business productivity.

  80. I absolutely love Epson brand products!!!

I currently have an (inkjet) Epson Stylus Photo R-320, but unfortunately it is only the printer…I could really use an all in one since I’m always having to go somewhere else to scan things that I need sent to the school.

Please count me in, this would be such a blessing for me!!!!

    Great Giveaway!!!
    -Barb :)

  81. Jay says:

I have an inkjet printer but I would love a new printer. My three biggest problems with my current printer are:

    1. Fonts print too small, can’t correct
    2. Color doesn’t print very well
    3. Ink cartridges cost too much

SEE, I need a new printer.

    PLUS, I LOVE BIZ Chicks…

PLUS, I subscribed to your feed through email.

    Here’s hoping I win…

  83. Hayley G. says:

I just got a laser printer but it doesn’t do color so this printer would be great!

  84. Kathy says:

Mine inkjet printer is a Dell. It just crashed. We’d love a new one!

  85. Wess Stewart says:

I would like to say that I use a very nice printer for all of my printing needs.

I would be a liar if I did.

Basically, I don’t have a printer. Granted, there are several lying around the house (even one about ten feet from me), but it’s not mine, it doesn’t have any ink, no cables, and basically…I have no idea if it even works at all.

I could definitely use a working printer. All of this ASCII art is killing my hard drive…

  86. Amy says:

I have an Epson Stylus that has gotten very slow. I’m trying to run a coalition that isn’t even up to the level of non-profit. Having an efficient machine is a must! Thanks!

I have no printer or scanner or whatever at the moment! I would love it!

    Thank!

Now I could REALLY use one and this one is really cool!
I always print out pictures of my kids and they always get ruined when they get water on them.
Thanks so much for this giveaway!

I would love an Epson printer for all the pics I plan to take of my baby girl once she’s born! I currently use a Canon PIXMA (forgot the model #), but it’s more for business and printing stuff of the computer. The Epson with waterproof ink sounds perfect for pics!!! Thanks for the chance :D

Having just moved 2000 miles to a new house with my husband and my son.. lots of things are lost or got broken during the move. I work from home doing odds and ends online while my husband works out of the home. I USED to have a Lexmark Inkjet printer that ended up getting busted up during our move. With a new baby one the way, I can’t afford to keep going to Kinkos to print out my papers. HELP!

  109. Sven says:

I have a Canon laser printer right now, would love to get one of these :)
